Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has floated a tender for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of 1.54 MW grid-connected solar systems distributed across 19 installations under its Mehsana asset in Gujarat.
Bids must be submitted by January 16, 2025. Bids will be opened the next day.
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹66,000 (~$792) with a performance bank guarantee equivalent to 3% of the total contract value.
The selected bidders are required to handle cleaning, inspection, preventive maintenance, and breakdown repairs. Breakdown maintenance involves troubleshooting and replacing defective parts.
The selected bidder must oversee the O&M activity for three years.
The total project capacity of 1.54 MW is distributed across installations such as Balol GGS-2 with 39.97 KW, Jotana GGS with 20 KWp, and KDM Office, Mehsana with 285 KW, along with several others in the Mehsana asset region.
Bidders must have expertise in the operation and maintenance of grid-connected solar projects. Past performance details, including completed and ongoing projects, should be provided.
If the bidder is a joint venture, the technical experience can be met by it or by a partner holding at least a 26% stake.
Micro, small, and medium enterprises and startups are exempt from paying the earnest money deposit.
In August, ONGC floated a tender for wind-solar hybrid power projects with a capacity of 1,000 MW (500 MW solar+ 500 MW wind).
Last year, ONGC acquired PTC Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PTC India, at a transaction valued at ₹9.25 billion (~$111.18 million). Through PEL, its subsidiary formed in 2008, PTC has commissioned seven wind power projects spread across Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh with a generation capacity of 288.8 MW.
In the same year, the company announced plans to invest ₹1 trillion (~$12 billion) by 2030 in renewable energy projects.
