Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) has issued a tender for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of 4 MW rooftop solar projects with battery integration. The projects will be implemented across various locations in Odisha under a rate contract basis.

Bids must be submitted by January 27, 2025. Bids will be opened on February 1.

Bidders must submit a bid security of ₹300,000 (~$3,600), a bid cost of ₹10,500 (~$126), and a processing fee of ₹1,000 (~$12).

Selected bidders must design, engineer, supply, install, test, commission, and maintain the rooftop solar projects. They must also conduct the complete lifecycle management of the projects and integrate them with battery systems.

Successful bidders must provide a comprehensive maintenance agreement for five years following the commissioning of the projects.

Bidders must have experience working with rooftop or ground-mounted solar projects of at least 500 kW capacity. Bidders registered in Odisha must have experience with projects of at least 200 kW capacity.

Bidders must have had a positive turnover in the financial year (FY) 2024. Category B bidders must have a minimum average annual turnover of ₹20 million (~$240,000) during FY 2022, 2023, and 2024.

The modules used must be included in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.

Delays in the projects will attract penalties under the general conditions of contract, including liquidated damages.

Recently, OREDA invited expressions of interest to conduct detailed surveys and prepare feasibility reports for grid-connected rooftop solar power projects.

OREDA issued an empanelment tender for the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning grid-connected rooftop solar systems of up to 10 MW cumulative capacity.

Earlier, OREDA invited bids to set up 10,000 off-grid solar water pumps ranging from 1 HP to 7.5 HP under Component B of the PM-KUSUM program.
