Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC) has invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 50 MW solar power project on earth-capped ash pond-B at IB Thermal Power Station in Banharpalli, Odisha.
The contractor must also oversee the project’s operation and maintenance for five years.
The last day to submit the bids is December 30, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.
Bidders must furnish a bid security of ₹25 million (~$296,196).
The EPC contractor must secure all permits for the construction and operation of the project, including the 33 kV transmission line and switchyard works at the 220 kV OPGC substation.
The contractor must also manage the interconnection at the 220 kV OPGC substation, approximately 4 km from the project site. Power system studies are included in the scope of work.
Bidders must obtain all relevant approvals, such as government orders, connectivity, construction permits, and utility approvals.
They must have completed grid-connected solar power projects with a cumulative installed capacity of at least 50 MW, including at least two projects of 10 MW or more, each completed under a single contract and operational for at least six months as of the proposal submission date.
Bidders must have an average annual turnover of at least ₹1.1 billion (~$13 million) over the past three financial years.
They must also have a positive net worth as of the last day of the preceding financial year from the proposal submission date.
