NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has issued a tender for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 3 MW rooftop solar project at Bank Note Press, Dewas, in Madhya Pradesh.
The last date to submit bids is March 9, 2026. Bids will be opened on March 10.
Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹2 million (~$22,058).
The successful bidder must submit contract performance security equal to 10% of the total contract price.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, procurement, testing, civil and structural works, installation, commissioning, and five years of operation and maintenance (O&M) services.
The selected bidder will also be responsible for conducting a preliminary rooftop assessment, determining optimal capacity, and arranging the water, electricity, and security required for implementation.
The project must be completed within 240 days from the date of notification or letter of award, and the O&M period will commence after a one-year defect liability period, during which maintenance is included within the EPC scope without additional payment. The O&M contract may be extended for an additional five years on mutually agreed terms.
Bidders must have completed similar rooftop or ground-mounted solar EPC works within the past seven years ending March 31, 2025, including either three projects of at least ₹52.7 million (~$581,051) each, two projects of ₹65.9 million (~$726,684) each, or one project of ₹105.5 million (~$1.16 million).
They must also demonstrate an average annual turnover of at least ₹52.7 million (~$581,051) over the last three financial years and maintain positive net worth without erosion exceeding 30%.
During the O&M period, the selected bidder must provide additional security equal to 0.1 × G × R, where G represents annual generation corresponding to the applicable capacity utilization factor and R is set at ₹6 (~$0.066)/kWh, calculated in million rupees, valid for five years.
Liquidated damages for delays in commissioning will be levied at a rate of 0.5% per day of the contract value, with total damages capped at 10% of the total contract price, excluding O&M.
Only Class I and Class II local suppliers are eligible to participate. Only solar modules from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-I and cells from the ALMM List-II must be used.
Earlier this year, NVVN floated a tender to set up 1,250 kW of rooftop solar projects across multiple facilities of Bharat Earth Movers in Karnataka and Kerala.
