NVVN Invites Bids for 19 MW of Ground-Mounted and Rooftop Solar Projects

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has invited bids to commission 10.61 MW of ground-mounted and 8.65 MW of rooftop solar projects at different locations in Zone 1 of NTPC.

The ground-mounted projects must be installed within eight months of receiving the work order, while rooftop projects must be completed in six months.

The selected developer must operate and maintain the projects for three years.

The last date to submit the bids is July 18, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.

The cost of the bidding documents is ₹22,500 (~$269).

Bidders must submit a bid security of ₹10 million (~$119,851).

The selected bidder must furnish a performance bank guarantee of 10% of the contract price within twenty-eight days of award notification.

Bidders should be developers or have experience designing, supplying, erecting, and commissioning solar projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 400 kW or higher. At least one project must have had a capacity of 40 kW or more, and this project should have been in operation for at least six months before the bid opening date.

Alternatively, bidders should have executed an industrial project costing ₹40 million (~$479,404) in the last ten years as developers or as EPC contractors in the power, steel, oil, gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, coal mining, or any other process industry.

Bidders should have executed at least one electrical substation with an 11 kV or higher voltage level, including equipment like 11 kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and power transformers, either as developers or EPC contractors. The substation should have been in operation for at least one year before the bid opening date.

Bidders should have an average annual turnover of ₹835.1 million (~$10 million) during the last three financial years.

Their net worth as of the last day of the preceding financial year should be at least 100% of their paid-up share capital.

The modules must be included in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers, as notified by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

Recently, NVVN invited bids for enlisting engineering, procurement, and construction vendors to develop rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems with an aggregate capacity of 20 MW.

Earlier, NVVN invited bids to set up 1.3 MW of rooftop solar power projects across three locations in two campuses of the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow and the National Institute of Defence Estates Management in Delhi.
