NTPC Tenders Operations and Maintenance of 4 MW Solar Microgrid System

NTPC has invited bids for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of a 4 MW solar microgrid system installed at the NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance (NETRA) in Uttar Pradesh.

The last date to submit bids is May 7, 2026. Bids will be opened on May 8.

Bidders must submit a contract performance guarantee of up to 5% of the total contract value and a security deposit of ₹100,000 (~$1,057.69).

The scope of work covers the operation and maintenance (O&M) of a 4 MW ground-mounted solar project, including equipment and installations, a 3,300 kVA central inverter, a power conversion system, an auxiliary transformer, an energy management system, and a 1.25 MWh battery energy storage system.

It also encompasses O&M of supervisory control and data acquisition, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, and fire safety systems of a 4MWp solar microgrid system. .

The operation and maintenance contract will be for 24 months.

The NETRA complex receives power from the Noida Power Company at 33 kV. The 4 MW microgrid can operate in islanded and grid-connected modes and runs 24×7 to meet the complex’s load requirements.

Successful bidders must perform periodic preventive and corrective maintenance, monitoring, and technical support for the battery energy storage system, power conversion system, and energy management system.

Bidders must also repair and restore damaged systems that are not covered under warranty.

Recently, Jayram Industries won NTPC’s auction for the O&M of a 4 MW solar project with a 1.25 MWh battery storage system for two years at NETRA..

In December 2025, NTPC Green Energy issued a tender for comprehensive O&M services for its 540 MW grid-connected solar projects in Nokhra and Devikot, Rajasthan, for three years. Bids had to be submitted by January 12, 2026.

Recently, NTPC also approved an investment proposal for a 4.7 GWh battery energy storage system with an estimated project cost of ₹58.22 billion (~$623.22 million).
