NPTC REL Tenders BoS Package for 1,000 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan

NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) has invited bids for a balance of system (BoS) package to develop 1,000 MW (2×300 MW+2×200 MW) solar projects in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
Bids must be submitted by May 16, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same day.
Bidders must furnish a document fee of ₹22,500 (~$261.5). They must also submit a bid security amount of ₹50 million (~$581,112) for one block, ₹100 million (~$1.1 million) for a combination of two blocks, and ₹200 million (~$2.3 million) for a combination of three or all four blocks.
The scope of work entails the designing, engineering, manufacturing, packing and forwarding, transportation, installing, testing, and commissioning of the solar projects.
Selected bidders must arrange power and water supply for construction purposes and construct a pre-engineered inverter room with power conditioning unit associated low-tension and high-tension switchgears.
They must also provide operation and maintenance for the projects and their electrical equipment and consumables for three years.
Bidders must meet one of the following conditions:
- They must have designed, erected, or supervised the erection, commissioned, or supervised the commissioning of BoS of solar projects with a minimum cumulative installed capacity of 40 MW. The projects must have had at least one system with a minimum capacity of 10 MW operational for at least six months before the bid opening date.
- They must be developers of grid-connected solar projects with a minimum cumulative capacity of 40 MW. The projects must have had at least one system with a minimum capacity of 10 MW operational for at least six months before the bid opening date.
- They must have executed an industrial project in the last ten years as a developer or an engineering, procurement, and construction contractor in the power/ steel/ oil and gas/ petrochemical/ fertilizer/cement/coal mining (including coal handling) sectors or any other process industry. Non-renewable energy projects must have been operational for at least one year, and renewable energy projects for at least six months.
Bidders must have had the following annual turnover during the last three financial years:
- ₹750 million (~$8.7 million) for projects with capacities from 200 MW to 300 MW
- ₹1 billion (~$11.6 million) for projects with a capacity of 400 MW
- ₹1.25 billion (~$14.5 million) for projects with a capacity of 500 MW
- ₹1.5 billion (~$17.4 million) for projects with a capacity of 600 MW
- ₹1.75 billion (~$20.3 million) for projects with a capacity of 700 MW
- ₹2 billion (~$23.3 million) for projects with a capacity of 800 MW
- ₹2.5 million (~$29 million) for projects with a capacity of 1000 MW
Bidders must have had a minimum net worth of 100% of their paid-up share capital during the last financial year.
In March this year, NTPC REL invited bids for a BoS package for an interstate transmission-connected 900 MW wind energy project at Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh.
