NTPC has invited bids for the bi-annual operation and maintenance (O&M) of a 20 MW floating solar project and for providing manpower for a 20 MW ground-mounted solar project at NTPC’s Auraiya Gas Power Station, Dibiyapur, in Uttar Pradesh.

The last date to submit bids is September 26, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹200,000 (~$2,267).

The estimated contract value of the project is ₹15 million (~$170,040)

The scope of work covers the O&M of its 20 MW floating solar power project, spread across two reservoirs.

It also entails cleaning of solar modules, inspection and replacement of floaters supporting the solar modules, and housekeeping of the entire facility.

Each reservoir houses a solar PV array, an inverter control room with a 33 kV breaker, and a transformer yard. The project is connected to the 33 kV high tension breaker panel at the central monitoring and control system through 33 kV underground cables or a 33 KV overhead line.

The scope of work encompasses the deployment of additional shift manpower for the ground-mounted solar project at NTPC’s Auraiya gas power station.

The successful bidder must ensure that the modules are washed daily, and remove ground faults and any other faults in the system to ensure plant availability up to 100%.

The project also entails monitoring the string current, ambient temperature, and wind speed on an hourly basis to track performance parameters.

The successful bidder must clean all instruments inside the weather monitoring stations, including the pyranometer, rain gauge meter, cloud cover detector, ambient conditions monitor, and data logger. The weather parameters must be integrated with the supervisory control and data acquisition.

Apart from supplying manpower for the ground-mounted project, the successful bidder must also supply unskilled and semi-skilled manpower for the O&M of the floating solar project.

Preventive maintenance of the battery charger, uninterruptible power system, direct current battery bank, module washing system, fire detection system, and lighting system of the floating solar project are also part of the scope of work.

The successful bidder must perform annual testing of the isolated phase bus duct, protective relays, auxiliary transformers, vacuum circuit breakers, current transformers, potential transformers, isolators, and h-pole structures of floating and ground-mounted solar projects.

The successful bidder must hold a valid Class A electrical license/a relevant statutory electrical license/ electrical license.

In July 2025, NTPC invited bids for the comprehensive O&M of a 92 MW floating solar project at NTPC Kayamkulam, Kerala, for three years, and a 5 MW ground-mounted solar system at Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair), Andaman and Nicobar Islands, for two years and nine months.
