NTPC has invited bids to set up 1,200 MW interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar power projects anywhere in India.
The last date for the submission of bids is July 18, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.
NTPC will enter into a power purchase agreement with the selected bidders for the purchase of solar power for 25 years.
The minimum bidding capacity should be 50 MW and in multiples of 10 MW thereafter. Bidders can bid for an individual minimum project size of 50 MW at one site.
The maximum capacity to be allotted to a single bidder will be 600 MW. The cumulative capacity offered by a bidder should not exceed 600 MW.
Bidders have to pay a tender document fee of ₹22500 (~$269.6). The processing fee will be as follows:
- For 50 MW, bidders must pay a processing fee of ₹300,000 (~$3,594) + applicable GST at 18%
- For above 50 MW up to 100 MW, bidders must pay a processing fee of ₹500,000 (~$5,991) + applicable GST at 18%
- For above 100 MW up to 250 MW, bidders must pay a processing fee of ₹1million (~$11,982) + applicable GST at 18%
- For above 250 MW up to 500 MW, bidders must pay a processing fee of ₹2 million (~$23,964) + applicable GST at 18%
- For above 500 MW, bidders must pay a processing fee of ₹3 million (~$35,948) + applicable GST at 18%
Projects can be set up anywhere in India on land the bidders purchase or lease.
The tender promotes only commercially established and operational technologies to minimize technology risk and ensure the timely commencement of power supply from the projects.
Bidders should have a net worth of at least ₹11.58 million (~$138,760)/MW of the quoted capacity as of the last day of the preceding financial year or at least seven days before the technical bid opening.
They must demonstrate a minimum annual turnover of ₹3.5 million (~$41,940)/MW of the quoted capacity during the preceding financial year or at least seven days before the technical bid opening.
Earlier this month, NTPC Renewable Energy has also invited bids for a balance of system (BoS) package for a 1,000 MW ISTS-connected wind energy project in the Bellary region, Karnataka (Tranche-V).
It also invited bids for the BoS package of a 500 MW solar power project in Bhadla, Rajasthan.
