NVVN Invites Bids for 7.1 MW Rooftop Solar Projects in Bihar, Jharkhand

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC, has issued a tender for 7.131 MW grid-connected rooftop solar projects at various locations of the central armed forces and the departments under the Ministry of Home Affairs Zone 1 in Bihar and Jharkhand.

The last date to submit the bids is September 3, 2024. Bids will be opened on September 4.

The scope of the work covers the design, engineering, testing, and relevant activities like preliminary roof assessment, water arrangements, electricity, security, and determining optimal capacity for setting up solar projects. It also includes operation and maintenance (O&M) for ten years. Bidders are advised to visit the site and collect all necessary information to install projects.

All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of ₹5 million (~$59,553). Bidders must quote their O&M charges for the first year. The charges from the second to the tenth year will be auto-calculated based on the O&M charges for the first year and the annual escalation factor at 5.25%.

Bidders from a country that shares a land border with India will be eligible to bid only if registered with a competent authority. Bidders from India with a specified Transfer of Technology arrangement with an entity from a country that shares a land border with India will also be eligible to bid only if registered with the same competent authority.

Only Class-I and Class-II local suppliers are eligible to participate in the tender.

In July, NTPC invited bids to develop 769 kW of grid-connected ground-mounted solar projects and 929 kW of rooftop solar power projects at Munitions India (Aruvankadu and Trichy).

In June, NVVN, invited bids to select channel partners for installing grid-connected rooftop solar power systems under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana in Chhattisgarh.
