NTPC Green Issues Module Supply Tender for 600 MW Solar Project in Gujarat

NTPC Green Energy has issued a tender for the supply of bifacial solar modules for a 600 MW solar project in Gujarat.

Indian Oil NTPC Green Energy, a joint venture between Indian Oil Corporation and NTPC Green, owns the project.

Bids must be submitted by July 3, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must submit a bid document fee of ₹22,500 (~$263.55).

Bidders can quote for a minimum capacity of 378.75 MW, corresponding to one block, or a maximum capacity of 757.50 MW, corresponding to two blocks.

The bid security amount for a single block is ₹100 million (~$1.1 million), and for two blocks is ₹200 million (~$2.3 million).

The scope of work entails manufacturing, packing and forwarding, and transporting crystalline solar bifacial modules, with a minimum 570 W nominal rating. The modules must be included in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.

Bidders must have supplied modules or solar cells of a minimum cumulative capacity of 40 MW, of which at least one such supply order must be at least 10 MW in capacity.

Alternatively, they can be a group company, holding company, or subsidiary company that can furnish a letter of undertaking, jointly executing a supply order of a cumulative 40 MW capacity, of which at least one supply order must be of 10 MW capacity.

Bidders must have an average annual turnover of ₹900 million (~$10.5 million) for one block and ₹1.8 billion (~$21 million) for two blocks.

Bidders must have a minimum net worth of 100% of their paid-up share capital.

In May, NTPC Green invited expressions of interest from renewable energy companies having power purchase agreements with intermediary procurers to acquire solar projects with a minimum cumulative capacity of 50 MW.

Recently, NTPC invited tenders for the engineering, procurement, and construction of a 250 MW ground-mounted solar power project in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
