NTPC Limited has invited bids to commission a 56 MW floating solar power project at NTPC North Karanpura Thermal Power Station in Jharkhand.

The scope of work encompasses the construction of the floating solar project and establishing power evacuation system, including the procurement and installation of solar modules.

The successful bidder must also provide three years of operation and maintenance services for the project and an annual maintenance contract for essential equipment.

The last day to submit the bids is November 17, 2023. Bids will be opened on the same day.

The cost of the bidding document is ₹22,500 (~$270). Bidders must submit a bid security of ₹50 million (~$600,515).

Bidders must have experience designing, supplying, erecting, and commissioning solar photovoltaic grid-connected power projects with a minimum capacity of 40 MW.

One of these projects must have had a capacity of 10 MW or higher and be in operation for at least six months before the technical and commercial bid opening date.

Alternatively, bidders should have developed grid-connected solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 40 MW or higher, including at least one project with a capacity of 10 MW or more, which has been in operation for at least six months before the bid opening.

Additionally, in the last ten years, bidders should have completed an industrial project in the power, steel, oil and gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, coal mining, or any other process industry, either as a developer or EPC contractor, with a value of at least ₹2.7 billion (~$32.4 million). The reference project should have been in operation for at least one year before the technical and commercial bid opening date.

Bidders should also have executed at least one electrical substation with a 33 kV or higher voltage level, containing equipment like 33 kV or higher circuit breakers and power transformers, as a developer or EPC contractor. The substation should have been in operation for at least one year before the bid opening.
