NREDCAP Issues Empanelment Tender for 35 MW of Rooftop Solar Projects
Andhra Pradesh seeks to develop 15 MW of projects atop government buildings and 20 MW atop residential, social, and institutional buildings
April 16, 2018
The New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP) has issued an empanelment tender for rooftop solar installers in the state. The tender covers rooftop solar projects with capacities ranging from 1 kW to 500 kW.
The projects will be developed at various locations in Andhra Pradesh under the net metering policy. The empaneled firms will be responsible for the supply, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and operation of the grid-connected rooftop solar PV power projects.
The empaneled developers will develop 15 MW of rooftop solar PV projects atop government buildings and 20 MW of rooftop solar PV projects atop residential, social, and institutional buildings in Andhra Pradesh. The capacities were allocated to the state by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).
Empanelment will be done for three project categories: 1 kW to 10 kW, 11 kW to 100 kW, and above 100 kW. For projects being developed atop residential, institutional, and social sector buildings, the developers can take advantage of central financial assistance (CFA) of up to 30 percent of the benchmark cost of the projects. For projects developed atop government buildings achievement-linked incentives will be provided.
The rooftop solar PV projects will be developed on a turnkey basis. The empanelment of bidders will be finalized on the basis of the cost of the rooftop solar system, including supply, installation and commissioning.
Since MNRE discontinued the empanelment of Channel Partners under the grid-connected rooftop and small solar projects program effective November 23, 2017, states have been coming up with empanelment tenders for rooftop solar PV.
In February 2018, Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO) issued a tender for the empanelment of rooftop solar installers in the state.
