Northeast Frontier Railway Invites Bids for 3.5 MW Rooftop Solar Systems

Northeast Frontier Railway, Alipurduar Division – Electrical has invited bids for a cumulative capacity of 3.5 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power systems in Guwahati, Assam.
The last date to submit the bids is December , 2024. The projects must be completed in six months.
Tender 1 (1 MW)
Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹425,300 (~$5,039). The tender’s advertised value is ₹55 million (~$651,637).
Tender 2 (1.3 MW)
Bidders must furnish an EMD of ₹492,500 (~$5,835). The advertised value of the tender is ₹68 million (~$810,314).
Tender 3 (1.2 MW)
Bidders must furnish an EMD of ₹469,700 (~$5,564). The advertised value of the tender is ₹64 million (~$758,197).
The scope of work for all three tenders includes the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of rooftop solar systems, including the supply of 550 Wp or above solar modules with IEC-certified monocrystalline cells.
Bidders must have a minimum average annual contractual turnover of V/N or ‘V,’ whichever is less, where V is the advertised value of the tender and N is the number of years prescribed for completion of work for which bids have been invited.
They must have completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work during the last seven years:
- Three similar works, each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender.
- Two similar works, each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender.
- One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender.
In August, the Northeast Frontier Railway floated a tender to set up grid-connected rooftop solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 2.93 MW at 42 stations, service buildings, and 204 level crossings in the Rangiya railway division in Assam.
The Western Railway invited bids to install a 1.2 MW on-grid rooftop solar project at the EMU workshop in Mahalaxmi, Mumbai.
