The Lumding Division (Electrical) of the North East Frontier Railway has issued two tenders for the provision of cumulative 3.2 MW rooftop solar systems at various buildings, service stations, staff quarters, and parking areas in Guwahati.

The last date to submit the bids is December 6, 2024.

The project must be completed in 180 days.

The scope of work for both tenders includes designing and supplying on-grid solar systems without battery backup. The successful bidder will supply 545 Wp or above solar modules using IEC-certified monocrystalline cells.

Bidders must also supply an on-grid solar PCU / inverter (three-phase unit) with an inbuilt LED display of appropriate capacity.

To be eligible for the tenders, bidders must have a minimum average annual contractual turnover of V/N or ‘V,’ whichever is less. V is the Advertised value of the tender, and N is the number of years prescribed for the completion of work for which bids have been invited.

They must have experience in similar nature of work and must have completed any of the following during the last seven years:

• Three similar works of work, each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender.
• Two similar natures of work, each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender.
• One similar nature of work, each costing not less than the amount equal to 60% of the advertised value of the tender.

Similar nature of works is defined as the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a solar power project of a minimum 30% rating of total tendered quantity /capacity in railway stations or metro stations or airports or any government office, service buildings, or hospitals.

Tender 1 (2.076 MW)

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹805,800 (~$9,548). The advertised value of the tender is ₹131million (~$1.55 million).

Tender 2 (1.15 MW)

The bidder must furnish an EMD of ₹685,000 (~$8,116). The advertised value of the tender is ₹107 million (~$1.27 million).

The division recently issued three tenders to install grid-connected rooftop solar systems on service, residential, and station buildings, with a combined capacity of 5.765 MW. The last day for the submission of bids is December 5, 2024.

The Alipurduar Division of the North East Frontier Railway also invited bids for a cumulative capacity of 3.5 MW grid-connected rooftop solar systems in Guwahati. The last date to submit the bids is December 6, 2024.
