NLC India Tenders Solar EPC Contract for 709 MW in Tamil Nadu

NLC India has tendered a solar EPC contract for 709 MW to be developed in the state of Tamil Nadu. The bid-submission deadline is August 4, 2017.
The scope of work includes, procurement of land, design, engineering, manufacture, inspection at supplier’s works, supply insurance, transport, storage, erection, testing, commissioning of the project.
The successful bidder will also be responsible for provisional take over of the project with associated power evacuation system including grid connectivity approval from Tamil Nadu electricity authorities, load flow study, bay extensions, external transmission lines and right of way.
The successful bidder will provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services for a period of 15 years after one-year warranty period.
NLC India has fixed 50 MW as the minimum project capacity at a single location and 12 months from date of issue of letter of award as the project completion timeframe.
NLC India won a bid to develop 709 MW of the 1,500 MW recently tendered by TANGEDCO. NLC India had bid for the entire capacity.
