NHPC has invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) package of a 200 MW grid-connected solar power project to be set up in Gujarat State Electricity Corporation (GSECL)’s renewable energy park at Khavda (GSECL Stage-3).

The project must be commissioned within 12 months of receiving the work order. The selected developer must also operate and maintain the project for five years.

The last date to submit the bids is June 28, 2024. Bids will be opened on July 3.

Bidders must submit ₹78 million (~$936,721) as an earnest money deposit.

The selected bidder must furnish an amount equivalent to 3% of the contract price as performance security within 28 days after receiving the award notification.

Bidders should be developers or have experience designing, supplying, erecting, and commissioning solar projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 40 MW or higher.

At least one project must have had a capacity of 10 MW or more. The project should have operated for at least six months before the bid opening date.

Alternatively, bidders should have executed a project costing ₹1.5 billion (~$18.01 million) in the process industry or infrastructure sector within the past decade, either as developers or EPC contractors.

Bidders should have also executed at least one electrical substation with a 33 kV or higher voltage level, including equipment like 33 kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and power transformers, either as developers or EPC contractors.

They should have an average annual turnover of ₹2.25 billion (~$27.02 million) during the last three financial years.

Their net worth should be positive on the closing day of three out of the last five financial years.

Bidders must have a working capital of ₹1.25 billion (~$15.01 million).

Recently, NTPC Renewable Energy floated an EPC tender for 225 MW of grid-connected solar power projects to be set up at the Khavda renewable energy park.
