NBCC (India) has invited bids to provide architectural and engineering consultancy services for 15 MW of rooftop solar projects at various locations of Bokaro Steel Plant in Jharkhand.

The estimated work cost is ₹590 million (~$6.19 million).

The estimated consultancy fee is ₹2.95 million (~$30,967), which is 0.50% of the estimated project cost, inclusive of goods and services tax.

The last date to submit bids is June 3, 2026. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹29,500 (~$310). They must also pay a non-refundable bid document fee of ₹17,700 (~$186).

The scope of work includes planning and designing the project, preparing architectural concepts and service drawings, preparing preliminary cost estimates, and preparing tender documents with technical specifications, bills of quantities, general terms, and special conditions.

The consultant must also prepare the design basis report for the rooftop solar project, performance measurement procedures, and technical specifications for operation and maintenance.

The project will be implemented in Type A and Type B residential quarters in the Bokaro Steel Plant township, six DAV school buildings, other institutional buildings in Bokaro, and buildings and guest houses at Bokaro Steel Plant mines in multiple locations.

The completion period is 12 months.

Bidders must have provided architectural and consultancy services for similar works completed during the last seven years. They must have completed three similar works, each costing at least 40% of the estimated project cost; two similar works, each costing at least 50%; or one similar work costing at least 80%.

Similar works have been defined as residential or non-residential building works of any number of stories.

The average annual audited financial turnover for the last three years must be at least 40% of the estimated consultancy fee.

Joint ventures, consortia, and foreign bidders are not eligible to participate in the tender.

In September last year, NBCC floated an engineering, procurement, and construction tender to set up a 4 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power project at the Bokaro Steel Plant in Jharkhand.
