Military Engineer Services Floats O&M Tender for a 6 MW Solar Project in Meerut

Military Engineer Services (MES) has invited bids for comprehensive operations and maintenance of a 6 MW solar power project at Meerut cantonment in Uttar Pradesh.

The work should be completed within 330 days from the date of handover of the site.

The estimated cost of the project is ₹4.9 million (~$54,037).

The last date to submit the bids is March 5, 2026. Bids will be opened on March 11.

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹94,000 (~$1,036). Successful bidders must furnish a performance bank guarantee equal to 5% of the contract amount.

Bidders should be enlisted with MES in class D and above, subject to satisfactory remarks regarding performance on works in hand, as reflected in the workload return or any other report circulated by a competent engineer authority.

Also, bidders applying as a single entity or a solar power developer entering into an memorandum of understanding with the contractor should have commissioned one work of capacity not less than 80% of the capacity specified, or two works each of capacity not less than 50% of capacity specified, or three works each of capacity not less than 40% of the capacity specified in the last seven years.

Last month, MES invited bids for the comprehensive maintenance of a 1 MW solar power project at Air Force Station in Gwalior.

Last year, MES invited bids to install 1,100 kW rooftop solar systems atop buildings at the Jaipur Military Station. The project’s estimated cost was ₹49 million (~$578,057).
