Military Engineer Services Invites Bids for 1 MW Solar Project

Military Engineer Services (MES) has invited bids to develop a 1 MW solar power project at Gorakhpur Air Force Area In Uttar Pradesh.
The project must be completed within a year of receiving the site handover.
The estimated cost of the project is ₹61 million (~$739,036).
The last day to submit the bids is July 8, 2023. The bids will be opened on July 15.
Bidders should furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹630,000 (~$7,632). The successful bidder will have to furnish an amount equivalent to 5% of the total contract amount as a performance bank guarantee within 28 days of the receipt of the letter of acceptance.
Bidders should have experience in commissioning at least one project of capacity not less than 80% of the total capacity, i.e., 800 kW, or two projects, each of capacity not less than 50% of the total capacity, i.e., 500 kW; or three projects, each of capacity not less than 40% of the total capacity, i.e., 400 kW during the last seven years.
Bidders should be enlisted with MES in Class A and above subject to satisfactory remarks regarding performance regarding works in hand as reflected in workload return or any other report circulated by competent engineer authority.
The EPC contractor cannot execute the work by subletting or through power of attorney to a third party or another firm.
Eligible solar power firms can bid as direct bidders or under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the MES-enlisted contractors. However, they cannot bid simultaneously for the same tender as direct bidders and under the MoU with MES-enlisted contractors.
Earlier this year, Military Engineer Services invited bids for developing three solar power projects of capacities 1 MW, 200 kW, and 130 kW at Niwaru, Bhakrota, and Jaipur military station, respectively, under garrison engineer (South) Jaipur.
