The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC), in a recent judgment, left it to the solar developer and the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) to decide on the extensions to the Scheduled Commencement of Supply Date (SCSD) and financial closure deadlines for 730 MW of grid-connected solar projects under the Maharashtra government’s program to solarize lift irrigation systems.
