Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology (MAHAPREIT) has invited bids for the installation and commissioning of 50 MW of grid-connected solar power projects along with the associated transmission lines up to the point of interconnection in the Sangli district of Maharashtra.

The successful bidder will also have to take care of the project’s operation and maintenance (O&M) for five years.

The projects will be developed in the Sangli district’s Kundalpur, Tisangi, Rajuri, and Ghatnandre villages.

The scope of work includes the design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of 50 MW of grid-connected solar power projects along with a switchyard and power evacuation system up to the state transmission utility substation for the allocated capacity.

The last date to submit the bids is August 21, 2023. Bids will be opened on the same day.

The project must be completed within 380 days from the date of the letter of award.

Bidders must submit ₹450,000 (~$5,488) as an earnest money deposit. Within 28 days from the letter of award, the successful bidder must furnish a contract performance cum security guarantee for an amount equivalent to 3% of the total contract value.

Bidders should have designed, supplied, erected, and commissioned grid-connected solar power projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 25 MW or above, out of which one project must have been of 20 MW or higher capacity. The reference project of 20 MW or higher capacity must have been operational for at least three months before the date of the notice inviting tender.

The cumulative turnover of the bidders for the last three financial years should be at least ₹2.1 billion (~$25.61 million).

The net worth of the bidders during the last financial year should be positive.

MAHAPREIT has mandated the use of solar modules from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

In January this year, MAHAPRIET invited bids to empanel consultants to develop 10 MW of distributed solar power projects under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana.

Earlier, MAHAPREIT had invited bids to set up a 1 MW green hydrogen plant with the associated ecosystem on a build, own, and operate basis in Maharashtra.
