The Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) has invited bids to commission 1,192 kW of grid-connected ground-mounted and rooftop solar projects with net metering.
The project’s estimated cost is ₹67.16 million (~$785,053).
Bids must be submitted by January 6, 2025. Bids will be opened on January 7.
Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹671,626 (~$7,850).
Successful bidders must submit 3% of the work cost as a performance bank guarantee.
Selected bidders must complete the projects within 150 days of receiving the work order. They must oversee the projects’ operation and maintenance for five years.
Developers must install the net-metering system, which includes applying to the relevant distribution company (DISCOM) with the required documentation and fees. They must provide sealed and tested energy meters for both the consumption and generation sides of the solar systems, including a bidirectional meter in line with DISCOM specifications.
Developers must apply for net metering within seven days of receiving the work order and notify the respective authorities of any pending energy bill payments.
The projects will be commissioned at 32 police stations in Gadchiroli, seven police stations in Bhandara, and 12 police stations in Nandurbar in Maharashtra.
Bidders must have developed 596 kW of ground-mounted and rooftop solar projects on a turnkey basis, including design, supply, installation, and commissioning, within the last seven financial years. These projects must have been operational for at least six months post-commissioning.
They must also have completed at least two solar projects, each with an individual capacity of 119 kW or above, in the last seven financial years. These projects must also have been operational for at least six months post-commissioning.
Bidders must have a minimum average annual turnover of at least 40% of the estimated work cost during the last three financial years.
In September, MEDA invited bids for commissioning 1,095 kW of grid-connected, ground-mounted, and rooftop solar systems with net metering.
