Mahanadi Coalfields Invites Bids for 1.5 MW Rooftop Solar Systems

Mahanadi Coalfields, a subsidiary of Coal India, has invited bids for the design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, metering, insurance, and quality control of an aggregated capacity of 1.5 MW grid-connected rooftop solar systems.
The scope of work includes comprehensive annual maintenance of the rooftop solar systems for five years.
The project must be completed in 240 days.
The last date to submit bids is November 10, 2024. Bids will be opened on November 11.
Bidders must pay an earnest money deposit of ₹1.01 million (~$12,036). The estimated cost of the tender is ₹80.8 million (~$962,947).
The rooftop solar systems must be installed at residential/ non-residential buildings of Mahanadi Coalfields
To be eligible for the tender, bidders must have completed one of the following:
- Three similar completed works, each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the estimated cost of the tender.
- Two similar completed works, each costing not less than the amount equal to 50% of the estimated cost of the tender.
- One similar completed work costing not less than the amount equal to 80% of the estimated cost of the tender.
Similar work constitutes ground-mounted, rooftop or floating solar projects.
The average annual financial turnover of the bidders during the last three should be at least 30% of the estimated cost.
Central Mine Planning & Design Institute, another subsidiary of Coal India, invited bids to commission a 5 MW grid-connected floating solar project for Eastern Coalfields at the quarry sump of Dalmia OCP Salanpur Area in West Bengal. The project should be commissioned within 270 days of receiving the work order. The developer must also oversee the project’s operation and maintenance for five years.
