The Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company (MPPMCL) has invited bids to procure 800 MW of wind power from projects set up anywhere in India, with an additional capacity of up to 800 MW under the greenshoe option for 25 years.
Bids must be submitted by July 23, 2025. Bids will be opened on July 25.
Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹632,000 (~$7,386) and a document fee of ₹29,500 (~$344).
They must also submit a bid processing fee of ₹500,000 (~$5,844) for projects ranging from 10 MW to 100 MW and ₹ 1.5 million (~$17,531) for those exceeding 100 MW.
Successful bidders must pay a performance bank guarantee of ₹3.1 million (~$36,234)/MW.
They must supply wind power to MPPMCL from already commissioned projects or commission new projects within the stipulated period.
The scope of work also entails the identification of land, project installation, and ownership. Additionally, it involves obtaining connectivity and approvals, as well as interconnection with the interstate transmission system (ISTS) or intrastate transmission system (InSTS) networks to supply power.
Selected bidders will be awarded the total capacity for injection at Madhya Pradesh’s ISTS or InSTS substations. MPPMCL will allocate and tie up additional capacity up to 800 MW under the greenshoe option.
The capacity utilization factor for the wind projects must be at least 22%. Only commercially established and operational technologies must be used to minimize technology risks and ensure the timely commencement of power supply from the projects.
Only wind turbine models listed in the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers must be used.
Bidders must have a minimum net worth of ₹12.6 million (~$147,352.72) during the last three financial years. They must have an annual turnover of at least ₹6.1 million (~$71,337.43)/MW during the previous financial year.
Recently, Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam (MPUVNL) invited bids to develop 1,200 MW of grid-connected solar projects under the feeder solarization component of the Surya Mitra Krishi Feeders program. The power generated will be sold to the MPPMCL.
In February this year, MPUVNL issued a request for proposal to select renewable energy power generators to set up a cumulative capacity of 1,500 MW solar projects in Madhya Pradesh under Component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan program.
