Karnataka Renewable Energy Development (KREDL) has invited bids to select a developer to commission a 100 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar project and a 50 MW/130 MWh battery energy storage system in Kalaburagi District.
The estimated project cost is ₹5.63 billion (~$67.35 million).
The last day to submit the bids is August 16, 2024. Bids will be opened on August 19.
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹56.3 million (~$673,588).
The selected bidder must submit a performance security equivalent to 5% of the awarded value within 20 days of receipt of the letter of award.
The developer will be responsible for power evacuation from the solar project to the identified 400/220kV KPTCL substation at Firozabad, Kalaburagi, 2 km from the identified land parcel.
The developer must interconnect the solar project at the 220kV side of the 400/220kV KPTCL substation at Firozabad. The developer must bear any applicable charges and energy losses until delivery.
Bidders must have commissioned at least one similar project involving establishing a grid-connected, ground-mounted utility-scale solar project. This project should have a cost of at least 90% of the amount put to tender.
They must have established and commissioned at least one 80 MW ground-mounted, grid-connected solar project with a transmission line in the last five years. This project must have been in service for at least one year before the tender submission date.
Bidders must have experience developing at least a 10 MW battery energy storage system at a single location. This system should be under construction or commissioned within the last five years before the bid due date.
They must have achieved a minimum financial turnover of ₹7.5 billion (~$89.73 million) in at least two financial years within the last five years.
Bidders must have a minimum net worth of ₹1.69 billion (~$20.21 million) as of March 31, 2023.
They must demonstrate liquid assets and availability of credit facilities amounting to at least ₹940 million (~$11.24 million).
KREDL has mandated the use of solar modules in the Approved list of Models and Manufacturers published by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
In February, Karnataka Solar Power Development Corporation issued a tender to develop 300 MW grid-connected solar power projects at Pavagada Solar Park.
