NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has awarded seven contracts to Kirloskar Solar Technologies to develop 32.29 MW ground-mounted and 14.74 MW rooftop solar projects, with a total contract price of ₹2.08 billion (~$24.62 million).
The projects will be set up in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Gujarat, and Assam.
NVVN also contracted Oriana Power to commission 10.61 MW of ground-mounted and 8.65 MW rooftop solar projects valued at ₹835.69 million (~$9.89 million) in Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal. This tender was floated in June this year.
One tender of 6.32 MW was canceled.
The ground-mounted projects must be installed within eight months of receiving the work order, while rooftop projects must be completed in six months.
The selected developers must operate and maintain the projects for three years.
The modules to be used in the projects must be included in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.

Oriana Power also secured a ₹2.48 billion (~$29.50 million) engineering, procurement, and construction contract from Bharat Petroleum Corporation for a 52 MW ground-mounted solar power project in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
Recently, NVVN invited bids for grid-connected rooftop solar systems with a cumulative capacity of 7.2 MW in 26 buildings under Assam Rifles in Nagaland, Manipur, and Assam.
In September, NVVN issued tenders to select and discover the lowest rates for rate contracts for the engineering, procurement, and construction of grid-connected rooftop solar systems of various capacities on government and private buildings.
In August 2024, NVVN floated a tender for a 25.65 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power project for government buildings in Delhi and adjoining states, including buildings under Delhi Police.
