Independent power producer Juniper Green Energy‘s subsidiary, Juniper Green BESS Delta, has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) for a 50 MW wind project in Gujarat.

The project is expected to be commissioned by November 6, 2027.

In April 2025, Juniper won the 50 MW capacity under GUVNL’s auction (Phase IX) to set up 250 MW grid-connected wind power projects with a greenshoe option of 250 MW in Gujarat. Juniper quoted a tariff of ₹3.65 (~$0.0427)/kWh.

The tender was floated in January 2025.

Juniper Green Energy is a part of the AT Capital Group, a globally diversified investment group based in Singapore.

Its offerings include development, construction, and operations of utility-scale solar, wind, and hybrid renewable energy projects.

In October 2025, Juniper Green announced the commissioning of 64 MW of renewable energy capacity across two projects in Gujarat and Maharashtra. It commissioned around 28 MW of wind power capacity in Devbhumi Dwarka, Gujarat, and a 36 MW solar component of its hybrid power project in Nanded, Maharashtra.

In the same month, its subsidiary, Juniper Green Sigma Eight, signed a PPA with TATA Power Company for a 70 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy project. Under this PPA, Juniper will develop a renewable energy project in Maharashtra, comprising a mix of solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems. The project will have a renewable energy capacity of around 180 MW and a BESS of around 280 MWh.

In June this year, Juniper Green Energy filed its draft red herring prospectus to raise over ₹30 billion (~$349 million) through an initial public offering. The company plans to utilize the funds towards the repayment of its debt, amounting to ₹ 10.92 billion (~$127 million), and ₹11.57 billion (~$135 million) for its subsidiaries.

In September, GUVNL floated a request for selection to set up 250 MW grid-connected wind power projects under Phase X, with a greenshoe option for procuring an additional 250 MW capacity.
