Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam (JDVVNL) has invited expressions of interest to set up 333.5 MW of solar projects along with associated 11 kV lines and remote monitoring systems under Component A of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evem Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM KUSUM) program.

The last day to submit the bids is November 29, 2024. Bids will be opened on December 3.

Bidders must submit a bid security of ₹100,000 (~$1,189)/MW. Selected bidders must submit a bid security of ₹100,000 (~$1,189)/MW.

The projects must be commissioned within nine months of receiving the work order. Developers must also provide operation and maintenance services for 25 years.

A power purchase agreement (PPA) for 25 years at the levelized tariff of ₹3.04 (~$0.036)/kWh will be executed between the selected bidders and Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam within seven days of the submission of the performance bank guarantee.

No subsidy or financial assistance for solar projects under Component A of the PM KUSUM program will be provided.

Individual farmers, groups of farmers, cooperatives, panchayats, farmer producer organizations, and water user associations are eligible to establish solar power projects at a single location with capacities ranging from a minimum of 500 kW to a maximum of 2 MW.

Additionally, renewable project developers can set up these projects on behalf of farmers.

The decentralized solar projects will be set up on unused or barren land of farmers situated within a five-kilometer radius of a 33/11 kV JdVVNL substation.

The solar photovoltaic modules used in the projects must be included in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s List-I under the Approved Models and Manufacturers of Solar Photovoltaic Modules.

Developers must ensure a minimum capacity utilization factor of 17%.

Recently, JDVVNL floated three tenders for installing and commissioning 185 grid-connected solar power projects with a total capacity of 494.82 MW in Churu District Circle under Component C of PM KUSUM program.
