The Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA) has invited bids for rate contracts to design, manufacture, supply, install, and commission 10 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects (with or without battery systems) of various capacities on government buildings.
The successful bidder will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the project for five years.
The last date to submit bids online is May 25, 2026. Bids will be opened on May 28.
Bidders must submit ₹216,000 (~$2,268) as an earnest money deposit. Successful bidders must furnish a performance guarantee equal to 5% of the allotted work order value.
The projects must be completed within four months.
Bidders must have completed three similar works equal to the maximum capacity under the category below the one applied for, or one similar project of maximum capacity under the category applied for.
Bidders must have an in-house manufacturing and testing facility and suitable equipment to perform testing.
The average annual turnover of bidders during the last three financial years should be at least 30% of the estimated cost of the minimum bid quantity in the respective group.
For micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in Jharkhand, bidders should have an average turnover of 10% of the estimated cost of the minimum bid quantity for their respective groups, derived from the last three financial years.
Bidders should have a positive net worth as of the last day of the previous financial year.
The solar modules to be used for the project should be warranted for 25 years, and the battery should be warranted for a minimum life of five years.
If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time fixed under the contract or any extension thereof granted to him by JREDA, the company will be liable to pay an amount equal to 1% per week, up to a maximum of 15% of the value of the work delayed beyond the contract period.
The rating of each module should be at least 500 Wp, and its efficiency should be ≥ 19.5%.
In March this year, JREDA issued an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) request for proposal to set up a 9 MW solar project on government land in the Palamu district.
Earlier, JREDA invited bids for rate contracts to select agencies for the comprehensive O&M of a cumulative 3.9 MW of rooftop solar power projects for five years.
