Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation (HPPCL) has invited bids to install and commission a 10 MW solar project at Aghlor in the Una district.

The successful bidder will also operate and maintain the project for eight years.

The last date to submit the bids is April 10, 2023. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders will have to submit ₹13 million (~$158,246) as an earnest money deposit.

As a contractor, joint venture partner, or subcontractor, the bidder should have experience in executing one similar contract worth ₹510 million (~$6.21 million) in the last ten years from the date of the bid submission. The minimum capacity of the project should be 8 MW.

Bidders should have executed at least two similar contracts worth ₹320 million (~$3.89 million) each. The minimum capacity of the solar projects must be 5 MW each. Or they should have executed three similar contracts worth ₹250 million (~$3.04 million) each. The minimum capacity of the projects should be 4 MW each.

In the last ten years, they should have successfully completed operations and maintenance for at least one year for two solar projects, each with a minimum capacity of 5 MW.

Bidders must have a minimum average annual turnover of ₹1.28 billion (~$15.58 million) from operations for the last three financial years.

They must demonstrate access to or availability of financial resources such as liquid assets, unencumbered real assets, lines of credit, and other financial means, other than any contractual advance payments, to meet the cashflow requirement of ₹320 million (~$3.89 million).

Recently, HPPCL invited bids to commission a 32 MW solar power project in Una, Himachal Pradesh.

Earlier, HPPCL had issued a notice inviting tender from consultants for registration, monitoring, verification, issuance, and trading of carbon credits for 276 MW of hydropower and 5 MW of solar projects in the state.
