Himachal Pradesh Invites Bids for 8 MW Solar Projects

The Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board (HPSEBL) has invited bids to set up 8.33 MW of grid-connected, ground-mounted solar power projects under the RESCO model.
Bids must be submitted by February 13, 2025. Bids will be opened on February 14.
Bidders can submit proposals for one or more projects separately.
Selected bidders must use only commercially established and operational technologies to minimize the technology risk and achieve timely project commissioning. They must also comply with the Approved List of Modules and Manufacturers.
They must oversee the projects’ operation and maintenance for 25 years.
Successful bidders must commission the projects within six months of signing the power purchase agreement.
Bidders for the Kunihar project must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹673,686 (~$7,784) and provide a performance bank guarantee (PBG) of ₹6.74 million (~$77,878).
They must have designed, supplied, installed, and commissioned grid-connected solar projects of a minimum 900 kW capacity, with at least two projects of 180 kW each completed in the last seven years.
They must also have a minimum net worth of ₹6.74 million (~$77,878) in the previous year and an average annual turnover of ₹11.31 million (~$130,682) over the past three years.
Bidders for the Nalagarh project must furnish an EMD of ₹2.13 million (~$24,608) and a PBG of ₹21.33 million (~$246,431).
They must have executed projects of a minimum 2.85 MW capacity, with at least two projects of 570 kW each completed within the last seven years.
They must also have a minimum net worth of ₹21.33 million (~$246,431) in the previous year and an average annual turnover of ₹35.81 million (~$413,861) over the last three years.
Bidders for the Mandi and Hamirpur projects must furnish an EMD of ₹313,665 (~$3,625) and a PBG of ₹3.14 million (~$36,289).
They must have completed projects of a minimum 415 kW capacity, with at least two projects of 83 kW each in the past seven years.
They must also have a minimum net worth of ₹3.14 million (~$36,289) in the previous year and an average annual turnover of ₹5.26 million (~$60,770) over the last three years.
In July last year, Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation invited bids to commission an 8 MW solar power project at Bada Basot in Solan.
