Hartek Power Secures EPC Contract for 75 MW Solar Project from SJVN

The contract, valued at ₹1.13 billion, will also include setting up a 132 kV substation

Hartek Power, the power systems and transmission and distribution business unit of Hartek Group has won an order from SJVN Green Energy to develop, implement, and maintain a 75 MW grid-connected solar power project, along with a 132 kV substation in Jamui in Bihar.

The comprehensive scope of work encompasses tasks including land development, design, and engineering, along with equipment procurement, testing at the manufacturer’s works, packing, forwarding, and transportation.

The responsibilities extend to associated civil and electrical works, services, permits, licenses, installation, erection, testing, commissioning, and performance demonstration of the solar projects.

The project is valued at ₹1.13 billion (~$13.6 million).

Hartek Power has executed 350 extra high voltage (EHV) and high voltage (HV) substation projects. This includes the ongoing implementation of a 22 MW floating solar EPC power project. It has also implemented 5 GW of solar grid connectivity projects across India.

According to Mercom’s India Solar Market Leaderboard 1H 2023, Hartek Solar was one of the top rooftop solar installers in India during the first half of the calendar year 2023.

Last March, Hartek Power won an EPC contract from SJVN Green Energy for a 15 MW floating solar project at Nangal Pond in Bilaspur district, Himachal Pradesh.

Recently, SJVN Green Energy invited bids for the construction of 132 kV transmission lines, including bays, for its 125 MW Jamui Phase-I solar project and 75 MW Banka solar project in Bihar.

In August last year, SJVN Green Energy invited bids for the supply of a balance of system package along with comprehensive operation and maintenance of three years for a 75 MW grid-connected solar project at Jamui district in Bihar.
