Gwalior Municipal Corporation (GMC) has invited bids to set up a 2 MW ground-mounted solar system at Manpur, Madhya Pradesh.
The last date to submit bids is June 19, 2026. Bids will open on June 22.
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹499,000 (~$5,165.85) and a performance bank guarantee of up to 3% of the contract value.
They must also furnish the tender cost of ₹20,000 (~$207).
The project is estimated to cost ₹99.8 million (~$1.03 million).
The project must be completed within six months.
The scope of work covers the design, engineering, procurement, supply, erection, and commissioning of the project.
It also entails comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M) services for 10 years following a 2-year defect liability period. During the O&M period, the contractor is responsible for repairing/replacing system components, and the tender also requires warranty coverage for supplied goods and solar modules.
The solar power generated will be evacuated at either the 11 kV level or the 415 V, three-phase level, with the final evacuation voltage and metering point to be determined by Madhya Pradesh Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company.
Bidders must use monocrystalline modules for this project. The modules must be listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers, and must ensure a performance warranty exceeding 90% during the first 10 years and more than 80% during the next 15 years.
Bidders must submit a 25-year electrical energy generation guarantee and ensure the capacity utilization factor is maintained at least 22% in the first year.
Bidders must meet eligibility criteria in at least one of the following ways:
- Bidders must have designed, engineered, supplied, erected, commissioned, tested, and provided comprehensive operation and maintenance for three grid-connected solar projects, each costing at least 20% of the contract value, in the last three financial years.
- Bidders must have designed, engineered, supplied, erected, commissioned, tested, and provided comprehensive operation and maintenance for two grid-connected solar projects, each costing at least 30% of the contract value, in the last three financial years.
- Bidders must have designed, engineered, supplied, erected, commissioned, tested, and provided comprehensive operation and maintenance for a grid-connected solar project costing at least 50% of the contract value in the last three financial years.
Bidders must have a net worth exceeding ₹25 million (~$258,810) in the last financial year and must not have reduced by more than 30% in the last three financial years.
They must have a minimum annual turnover in the last three financial years of at least 30% of the estimated project cost and must not have incurred a loss in more than one year of those three consecutive financial years.
Last year, the state government issued the Madhya Pradesh Renewable Energy Policy 2025, aiming to meet 50% of annual power consumption from renewable energy by 2030.
