The Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) has invited bids for the design, engineering, supply, procurement, and construction of 112 MW grid-connected solar power projects ranging from 10 MW to 50 MW at substations of the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO).

The successful bidder will also have to take care of the maintenance of the projects for five years

The last date to submit the bids online is April 27, 2021. The pre-bid meeting will take place on April 19.

The successful bidder should submit the security deposit-cum-performance bank guarantee of 10% of the EPC contract price within seven working days, from the date of accepting the letter of intent (LoI).

The bidder should have designed, supplied, erected, supervised, and commissioned grid-connected solar power projects of a cumulative installed capacity of 40% or higher of the total bid capacity in MW, out of which at least one project should have been of 10 MW(AC) or higher for bid capacity of 21 MW up to 55 MW and 5 MW for 10 MW up to 20 MW capacity. The reference project should have been in successful operation for at least 12 months before the bid opening date.

The bidder’s cumulative turnover for the last three financial years should be at least ₹40 million X Capacity in MW X 0.7. The bidder’s net worth during the last financial year should be positive.

In case the bidder is a 100 % subsidiary company and does not satisfy the annual turnover criteria stipulated above on its own, its holding company would be required to meet the stipulated turnover requirements as above.

The minimum capacity utilization factor (CUF) for the group of locations will be 25%.

Recently, GSECL invited bids for the design, supply, procurement, and construction of 4 X 50 MW grid-connected MW solar power projects at the Dholera Solar Park in Gujarat.

Earlier, GSECL had floated a tender for 140 MW of grid-connected solar power projects in the state. The projects in the range of 10 MW and 40 MW were to be installed at GETCO substations.

According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, GSECL has so far floated tenders for 1 GW of solar power projects.
