Gujarat Issues Consultancy Tender for 500 MW Solar Park

Gujarat State Electricity Corporation (GSECL) has invited bids for a detailed feasibility report (DFR) and detailed project report (DPR) for a 500 MW solar park in Gujarat.

The last date for submission of bids is December 25, 2023. Bids will be opened on December 31.

GSECL plans to develop a 500 MW solar park at Great Rann of Harsad, Banaskantha. The specific location for the park will only be disclosed upon the finalization of the tender with the winning bidder.

Bidders are required to remit a tender fee of ₹5,900 (~$70.76) and an earnest money deposit of ₹59,160 (~$709.6).

The land for the solar park is distributed across 5 to 6 land pockets within a range of 15 to 20 km.

Bidders must have completed services related to the feasibility study and preparation of reports, DPR for setting up solar parks, or ground-mounted solar photovoltaic grid-connected projects.

Their cumulative experience should reflect a minimum capacity of 100 MW, with individual projects of at least 10 MW.

Bidders must possess licensed software for energy estimation evaluation, along with an adequate skilled workforce and experience to handle such tasks. Licensed data sources for energy estimation evaluation are also necessary.

As of the bid submission date, bidders must have qualified and experienced personnel in their team.

Bidders must have a cumulative turnover of at least ₹4.89 million (~$58,610) over the last three financial years.

The net worth of the budders during the last financial year should be positive.

In May, GSECL invited bids to appoint a consultant to prepare a feasibility report and detailed project report to set up a 1,500 MW floating solar park in the Tapi district.

In August last year, GSECL invited bids from consultants for a detailed feasibility report and project management consultancy services to set up floating solar projects at various locations in the state for two years.
