Government Agencies Tender Over 44 MW of Rooftop Solar Projects

In the past week, various government agencies in India have tendered rooftop solar projects of over 44 MW.

The Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL) tendered 40 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects to be developed at various locations in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The bid-submission deadline is December 6, 2017.

The grid-connected rooftop solar projects will be developed under the RESCO mode and the scope of work includes, design, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the project. The successful bidder/s will also be responsible for operation and maintenance of the project for a period of 25 years.

The MPUVNL has said that grid-connected projects can be either one or combination of following two categories- Grid-connected net-metered systems; and Grid-connected systems for consumption within premises with no export of power in line with the solar policy of Madhya Pradesh.

The minimum project capacity is 1 kW and the maximum is 500 kW at a single location. The estimated project cost is ₹2.4 billion (~$36.58 million).

The Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA) has issued an empanelment tender for the development of grid-connected rooftop solar in the state of Jharkhand. The bid-submission deadline is November 29, 2017.

The estimated project cost is ₹1.02 billion (~$15.55 million) and the projects will be developed on turnkey basis. The scope of work includes, design, manufacture, testing, supply, installation, and commissioning of the grid-connected rooftop solar projects. The successful bidders will provide maintenance services for a five-year period.

The Indraprastha Power Generation Company Limited (IPGCL) issued a tender for developing grid-connected rooftop solar projects in Delhi. The bid-submission deadline is December 5, 2017.

The scope of work includes, design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the rooftop solar projects. The successful bidders will be responsible for warranty, operation, and maintenance of the grid-connected rooftop solar projects.

The projects will be developed under CAPEX mode and the estimated project cost is ₹1.28 billion (~$19.51 million)

The Delhi Jal Board tendered a 4 MW grid-connected rooftop solar projects at Wazirabad Water Works, Timarpur in Delhi. The bid-submission deadline is December 7, 2017.

A single bidder must bid for the entire capacity. The scope of work includes, design, engineering, manufacture, supply, storage, civil work, erection, testing and commissioning of the grid-connected rooftop, solar project.

The successful bidder will be responsible for operation and maintenance of the project for a 25-year period. The project completion timeframe is nine months from the date of award of contract.
