Gentari Renewables India Utilities 2, Juniper Green Energy, EG Energy Development (Enfinity Global), Sunsure Solarpark RJ One, and Adyant Enersol (Datta Infra) won SJVN’s auction to set up 1,200 MW of Interstate Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects in India (Phase III).
Gentari, Juniper, EG Energy, and Adyant quoted ₹3.19 (~$0.0379)/kWh to win 400 MW, 300 MW, 300 MW, and 70 MW, respectively.
Sunsure won 130 MW out of the quoted capacity of 150 MW at a tariff of ₹3.19 (~$0.0379)/kWh under the bucket-filling method.
The tender was floated in July this year.
SJVN will enter into a 25-year power purchase agreement with successful bidders to procure power. The power obtained from these projects by SJVN is intended for sale to various entities within India.
It will facilitate power procurement from hybrid power developers or generators and sell this power to buying entities as an intermediary procurer.
The projects will not be liable for any separate central financial assistance.
The tender had specified that bidders must offer a minimum of 50 MW of power for ISTS-connected projects, with at least 33% of the total contracted capacity coming from either wind or solar and a maximum of 400 MW.
The tender proposes to promote commercially established and operational technologies to mitigate technology risks and ensure the timely commissioning of the projects.
The wind turbines used in the projects must be type-certified models listed in the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).
The solar photovoltaic modules used in the projects must be included in MNRE’s List-I under the Approved Models and Manufacturers of Solar Photovoltaic Modules.
AMPIN Energy, Ganeko Solar (Solarpack), Inaayu Renewables (EverGreen Power), Juniper Green Energy, Datta Power Infra, JSW Neo Energy, and Avaada Energy won SJVN Green Energy’s tender to develop 1500 MW of ISTS-connected wind and solar hybrid power projects.
