Exus Renewables North America, a developer and operator of utility-scale renewable energy projects, has acquired four solar projects totaling 715 MW from ibV Energy Partners, a company specializing in developing and operating integrated solar + storage projects across the United States.
The portfolio includes projects in Wisconsin and Louisiana. The acquired portfolio comprises Maple Grove Solar 1 and 2, a two-phase project totaling 310 MW in Barron County, Wisconsin, Bayou Teche Solar, a 125 MW project in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana, and Bayou Chicot Solar, a 280 MW project in Evangeline Parish, Louisiana.
“ibV develops projects after careful site selection, with long-term project performance and relationships in mind,” said Chris McKissack, CEO at ibV Energy Partners. “We are proud to sell these projects to a renewable project development leader like Exus Renewables North America, known for their responsible and effective ownership in the communities where they operate.”
Exus will advance the projects through their next stages of development. The transaction terms were not disclosed.
The company has more than 6 GW of renewable energy projects in its portfolio, including more than 800 MW operating or under construction.
In March 2026, Exus Renewables North America acquired Ozone Renewables, a U.S.-based renewable energy project developer. With this acquisition, it added new projects and expertise to its greenfield development team, along with a pipeline of early-stage projects. This also marked the company’s first organizational acquisition and represents a strategic shift toward building integrated development capabilities across solar, wind, and storage projects.
In 2026, the company also announced the closing of a $400 million senior secured corporate credit facility for the development and expansion of the company’s wind, solar, and battery portfolio, comprising more than 700 MW of renewable assets in operation or under construction and 4.5 GW in active development, as electricity demand rises from data centers, manufacturers, and industrial facilities across the U.S.
According to Mercom’s 1H and Q2 2026 Solar Funding and M&A report, approximately 25.2 GW of solar projects were acquired in the first half of 2026, compared to 19.9 GW in the first half of 2025.
