Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Tenders 2.2 MW of Rooftop Solar

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) tendered a 2.2 MW a rooftop solar project to be developed at DMRC premises. The bid-submission deadline is August 31, 2017.
The project will be developed on RESCO mode and the estimated project cost is Rs.143 million (~$2.2 million). The project completion timeframe is 270 days from the date of award of contract.
The scope of work includes, design, engineering, supply, storage, civil work, erection of suitable raised structure, testing and commissioning of the rooftop solar project. The successful bidder will also provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services.
According to Mercom’s India Solar Project Tracker, the DMRC has set a target of 50 MW of rooftop solar on flat and curved roofs across metro stations, train depots and other buildings owned by DMRC. Azure Power is developing 14 MW and Rays Power Experts commissioned 5.5 MW of rooftop solar projects for DMRC.
