The Gujarat Energy Development Agency issued detailed procedures, guidelines, and terms for establishing off-grid solar, wind, and wind-solar hybrid power projects. The guidelines aim to help isolated entities meet renewable purchase obligation requirements through off-grid renewable solutions, encourage using sustainable energy in areas without grid connectivity, and expand diverse energy technologies to enhance energy security and environmental sustainability.
The Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission released draft regulations on the Deviation Settlement Mechanism and related matters. Stakeholders can submit their feedback by February 11, 2025. The Commission aims to maintain grid discipline and security through the commercial mechanism for deviation settlement.
NHPC invited bids for setting up a cumulative 24.22 MW rooftop solar projects on 245 government buildings in 25 states/union territories under the renewable energy service company model.
NTPC Renewable Energy invited bids to set up 1,200 MW interstate transmission system connected solar power projects integrated with a 600 MW/2,400 MWh (600 MW x 4 hours) energy storage system. The project will be developed on a build-own-operate basis and can be set up anywhere in India.
Cancrie, a Jaipur-based energy storage company, raised $1.2 million (₹103.62 million) in a maiden institutional seed round from Roots Ventures and IIMA Ventures. The funds will be used to scale production, accelerate research and development, and forge partnerships to integrate its advanced nanocarbon materials into next-generation energy storage devices.
Germany’s Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) issued a tender to set up 2.625 GW of ground-mounted solar projects on agricultural land, grasslands, and disadvantaged areas. The agency has a target of auctioning projects totaling 9,900 MW during the year across three bidding rounds.
