NTPC issues operation and maintenance tender for 20 MW floating solar project

Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company (CSPDCL) invited bids to develop 380 MW/760 MWh of standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS). Bids must be submitted by September 30, 2025. Bids will be opened on October 1. The BESS must be designed for interconnection with CSPDCL’s substation. The projects must be commissioned within 18 months of the effective battery energy storage purchase agreement date. It must be available for two operational cycles daily. The storage system will draw power from CSPDCL for charging and inject energy back into the distribution company’s network per the dispatch instructions issued by the state load dispatch center or power management cell.

NTPC invited bids for the bi-annual operation and maintenance (O&M) of a 20 MW floating solar project and for providing manpower for a 20 MW ground-mounted solar project at NTPC’s Auraiya Gas Power Station, Dibiyapur, in Uttar Pradesh. The last date to submit bids is September 26, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same day. The scope of work covers the O&M of its 20 MW floating solar power project, spread across two reservoirs. It also entails cleaning of solar modules, inspection and replacement of floaters supporting the solar modules, and housekeeping of the entire facility.

SJVN Green Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN, invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction of 733 MW solar projects in Maharashtra under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 program, aligned with Component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) program. The tender covers 61 projects under different substations in the Pune and Solapur districts with capacities ranging from 10 MW to 20 MW. Bids must be submitted by September 19, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same date. The scope of work includes land acquisition, completing civil structures, module mounting, supply, installation, and commissioning of the solar projects. It also involves providing operation and maintenance services for three years,

Antony Waste Handling Cell announced the incorporation of a step-down subsidiary to execute a 15 MW waste-to-energy project in Andhra Pradesh. The company’s material subsidiary, Antony Lara Enviro Solutions, has incorporated a special purpose vehicle under the name Kadapa Renew Energy to implement the project. The new entity will develop the 15 MW waste-to-energy project awarded by the New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh. The project involves processing municipal solid waste through a material recovery facility and the incineration of waste at a waste-to-energy facility.

Gurgaon-based renewable energy independent power producer ACME Solar Holdings executed a share purchase agreement (SPA) to acquire 100% equity shares of AK Renewable Infra for an enterprise value of ₹792.5 million (~$9 million). Jaipur-based AK Renewable Infra has secured all development rights, including land, connectivity, and associated approvals, for a 300 MW solar project in Rajasthan. The acquisition will be subject to the SPA’s closing conditions and adjustments.

Adani Green Energy (AGEL) operationalized 87.5 MW of solar capacity at the 30 GW renewable energy project in Khavda, Gujarat. In a regulatory filing, the company announced the commissioning of 75 MW and 12.5 MW of projects of Adani Renewable Energy Forty Five and Adani Renewable Energy Fifty-Six solar projects. AGEL plans to reach its completed operational capacity of 30 GW by 2029. Spanning 538 sq km, the Khavda Renewable Park has 5.6 GW of projects in operation. The 30 GW project at Khavda is interconnected to the central grid and the existing green corridor through high-capacity transmission lines, including lines with 765 kV ratings

Vikram Solar received an order to supply 336 MW of solar modules from L&T Construction for the latter’s project in the Khavda Renewable Energy Park. As part of this order, Vikram Solar will supply its Hypersol G12R modules, built on N-type technology. According to the company, these modules feature improved bifaciality of up to 80%, better high-temperature performance, and minimal year-on-year degradation (≤0.4%). The use of the G12R modules will enhance balance-of-system efficiency and reduce the levelized cost of energy, the company noted.

Indraprastha Gas (IGL) entered a joint venture agreement with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (RVUNL) for setting up a 500 MW solar project in the state. In its annual report 2024-25, Indraprastha Gas said that it had entered into a memorandum of understanding with RVUNL to develop the solar project at a cost of ₹3.28 billion (~$37.22 million). Under the agreement, IGL will hold a 74% majority stake in the joint venture company, while RVUNL will hold the remaining 26%. The shareholding arrangement grants IGL control over board decisions, allowing it to nominate four directors out of a total of six.
