CMPDI Invites Bids for 10 MW Solar Project at Mahanadi Coalfields

Central Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI), a subsidiary of Coal India, has floated a tender for the design, engineering, procurement, and commissioning of a 10 MW grid-connected solar power project at Lakhanpur, Mahanadi Coalfields (MCL).
The successful bidder must also operate and maintain the project for ten years.
The last date for the submission of bids is December 14, 2024. Bids will open on December 16.
The project’s estimated cost is ₹585.2 million (~$6.9 million).
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹5 million (~$59,157).
The successful bidder must provide performance security equivalent to 5% of the contract value within 21 days of receiving the letter of award.
Bidders must have completed one of the following during the last seven years :
- Three similar works, each costing not less than 20% of the estimated cost
- Two similar works, each costing not less than 25% of the estimated cost
- One similar work costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost
Similar works are defined as the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of grid-connected solar projects, including ground-mounted, rooftop, and floating solar installations.
The average annual financial turnover over the last three years, up to March 31, 2024, must be at least 30% of the estimated tender cost.
Bidders must possess working capital of at least 20% of the annualized value or estimated value, whichever is less, including access to lines of credit and the availability of other financial resources.
Earlier, CMPDI invited bids for the design, supply, installation, commissioning, and testing of grid-connected solar power projects with a cumulative capacity of 13 MW.
