As solar deployment accelerated across the country, domestic cell manufacturing emerged as a central pillar of India’s clean energy and industrial strategy. This session unpacked the progress made in reducing import dependence and expanding manufacturing capacity under policy frameworks such as the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme and the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM).
