Bondada Engineering has secured an engineering, procurement, and construction order from NLC India Renewables for balance-of-systems (BoS) works for setting up 810 MW solar projects at the Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam’s (RVUNL) solar park in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

The order consists of separate BoS works for 400 MW and 410 MW. The contract’s estimated cost is ₹9.45 billion (~$105.47 million).

In October this year, NLC India won the bid to develop an 810 MW solar project from RVUNL. NLC quoted a tariff of ₹2.64 (~$0.03)/kWh to win the auction.

The project is part of RRVUNL’s 2 GW Ultra Mega Solar Park in the Pugal Tehsil of Bikaner District, Rajasthan.

Bondada Engineering’s scope of work entails the design, engineering, installation, testing, and commissioning of the BoS works. It also involves providing operation and maintenance services for three years.

The company will also undertake the project site development, manufacturing, and inspection at the supplier’s works. Additionally, it will provide insurance for the solar projects and an evacuation system up to the 33 kV side of the 33/400 kV park pooling substation.

Bondada Engineering will execute the order within 15 months.

With the latest order, the company has EPC orders with a total capacity of 3 GW.

In October, Bondada Engineering secured a contract to develop a 2 GW solar project in Andhra Pradesh under the state’s Integrated Clean Energy Policy.

The company also received a letter of intent from the Adani Group to supply BoS equipment for a 650 MW solar project at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park, Gujarat. The contract’s estimated cost is ₹10.5 billion (~$119.5 million).

In November, Bondada Engineering was among the winners of the Maharashtra State Power Generation Company’s EPC auction for 300 MW solar projects, securing 100 MW for a contract value of ₹4.65 billion (~$52.46 million).
