Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA) has invited bids to empanel firms to install and commission 200 MW of grid-connected residential rooftop solar systems of various capacities (1-10 kW) under Phase II of the Rooftop Solar Program of MNRE in the Jammu city.
The projects will be developed under the ‘Jammu Solar City Mission.’
The last date to submit the bids is July 29, 2022.
Firms outside Jammu and Kashmir must submit a performance guarantee of ₹5 million (~$63,208) for five and a half years to empanel with JAKEDA for the execution of the project.
Firms located in Jammu and Kashmir must submit a performance guarantee of ₹1 million (~$12,641) for five and a half years.
The breakdown of subsidies for the project is given below:
The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy will provide central financial assistance (CFA) up to 40 % for rooftop solar systems up to 3 kW capacity. For rooftop systems above 3 kW and up to 10 kW, the CFA of 40% would apply only for the first 3 kW capacity and 20% for capacity above 3 kW.
Bidders must quote the price for the solar systems based on the benchmark cost provided by MNRE.
Bidders should have experience in the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of grid-connected rooftop solar projects through government organizations, public sector undertakings of state or central government, or MNRE-sponsored programs, which should have been commissioned before the bid submission date.
The solar modules and cells used for the project should be made in India. The solar modules should be of a minimum of 250 W, and their efficiency at least 16%.
Last December, JAKEDA invited bids to empanel vendors to develop 20 MW of grid-connected residential rooftop solar systems in Jammu and Kashmir under Phase-II of the Grid-Connected Rooftop Solar Program of MNRE.
Earlier, JAKEDA had invited bids for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of 12 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects under the capital expenditure model on government buildings in the Jammu region.
