Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO) has invited bids to install and commission 16 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems on the cycling track along two stretches of the outer ring road of the Hyderabad Growth Corridor in Telangana.
The project will be developed under the renewable energy service company (RESCO) model.
Out of the total 16 MW, 14 MW capacity will be developed under the captive model, and 2 MW will be developed under the net metering arrangement.
The successful bidder will also have to take care of the project’s operation and maintenance (O&M) for 25 years.
The last date to submit the bids is September 29, 2022. Bids will be opened the following day.
The ceiling tariff for the tender has been set as ₹4.50 (~$0.056)/kWh.
Bidders must submit ₹1 million (~$12,548)/MW as an earnest money deposit. The successful bidder will have to furnish ₹2 million (~$25,096)/MW as a performance bank guarantee.
The total capacity of 16 MW will be awarded to a single bidder after the reverse auction on a cumulative basis.
The project must be completed within four months from the date of the issuance of the letter of award.
Bidders should have experience implementing 25 MW capacity of rooftop solar or ground-mounted projects anywhere in India.
The financial turnover of bidders in any one of the last five financial years should be at least ₹1 billion (~$12.55 million).
Solar modules of a minimum capacity of 490W to 540W should be used for the project, and the efficiency of modules should be at least 17%.
The solar modules to be used for the project should be from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
The modules must be warranted for their output peak watt capacity, which shall not be less than 90% at the end of ten years and 80% at the end of 25 years.
Recently, TSREDCO invited bids to install and commission 3.07 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems of various capacities with net metering at 1,521 government schools across Telangana.
Earlier, TSREDCO had invited bids to empanel vendors to install 50 MW of grid-connected residential rooftop solar projects under Phase II of the Grid Connected Rooftop Solar Program of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, TSREDCO has issued tenders for 64 MW of rooftop solar capacity to date.
