Aiming to lower electricity expenses and advance its sustainability goals, Bhuvee Stenovate, which manufactures and trades in kitchen utensils, sinks, and other general utility steel products, has commissioned a 999.9 kW rooftop solar project at its facility in Kharagpur, West Bengal.
The installation, executed by Galaxy Solar Energy, features 1,818 Premier 550 Wp modules paired with 7 GoodWe 120 kW inverters and an Aluminum T6063 Mono-Rail mounting structure of 75 mm height × 120 mm length. Together, the components ensure high conversion efficiency and long-term system reliability.
Before switching to solar, Bhuvee Stenovate’s monthly energy consumption averaged 297,665 kWh. The rooftop system is projected to generate approximately 119,988 units per month, resulting in savings of ₹1.79 million (~$20,295) on electricity bills.
The payback period is estimated at just 1.3 years or 15 months, the short turnaround underscores the financial benefits of solar adoption for commercial and industrial consumers.
Installation began during the rainy season, posing safety and accessibility challenges due to wet, shed-mounted surfaces. Galaxy Solar implemented rigorous safety protocols, including the use of proper protective gear, anti-slip measures, and phased work sequencing. These measures ensured worker safety while maintaining steady progress and adherence to quality standards.
“We are thrilled to share that this project has significantly strengthened our relationship with Laser Power & Infra, a highly valued and prestigious client for Galaxy Solar. This successful collaboration follows our challenging 999.9 kW installation for them in 2022. Both these projects highlight how our shared vision can lead to remarkable achievements, even when faced with difficult circumstances,” said Shyamal Chatterjee, MD & CEO at Galaxy Solar.
In August this year, Galaxy Solar commissioned a 1 MW rooftop solar project for the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra at its premises in Vashi.
