BHEL Issues O&M Tender for 1.4 MW of Solar Projects in Assam

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has issued an operation and maintenance tender for rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) and ground-mounted solar PV projects aggregating 1.42 MW at various locations of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Nazira in Assam.

The bid-submission deadline is August 2, 2019. Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹102,525 (~$1486) for this tender.

The bidder will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the rooftop solar PV and ground-mounted solar PV projects for a period of five years after 10 days of the issue of the work order by BHEL.

This is the second operation and maintenance for solar PV project tender issued by BHEL since 2017. In July 2017, BHEL had issued an operation and maintenance tenders for two solar projects of 10 MW each in West Bengal.

As India’s installed solar PV project capacity has crossed 30 GW, slowly and steadily, the number of operation and maintenance tenders are rising.

In July 2019, the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) issued an annual domestic bidding contract for the operation and maintenance of a 5 MW solar PV project at Ramgarh, Jaisalmer.

Recently, the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) issued a tender for the operation and maintenance of a 10 MW solar PV project that is under operation at its Unchahar plant in Uttar Pradesh.

In March 2019, it had issued a tender for the operation and maintenance of power evacuation system of Rajgarh solar project for two years. The Rajgarh solar project is in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

In January 2019, Gujarat Power Corporation Limited (GPCL) had issued a tender for the operations and maintenance of a 5 MW solar PV power project at Gujarat Solar Park, located in Charanka village of Patan district.
