Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has invited bids for the supply and commissioning of grid-connected power conditioning units (PCU) for a 300 MW capacity floating solar power project at Rengali, Odisha.
The last date for the submission of bids is March 16, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.
With a portfolio featuring over 1,200 MW in commissioned projects, BHEL proposes to enter the floating and ground-mounted solar power plant business within the CPSU/government Utility segment.
The tender is valued at ₹400 million (~$4.8 million).
Bidders are not required to pay a tender fee or earnest money deposit to participate in the tender.
Bidders will have 252 days to complete the work.
Bidders must visit the site to gain a comprehensive understanding and information regarding the existing conditions on-site, as well as in the vicinity of the plant premises.
This includes being familiar with all the legal and regulatory requirements imposed by various authorities. The bidders need to ensure that their offer adheres to these conditions.
BHEL will not be responsible for covering any costs borne by the bidder during the bid preparation, regardless of whether the bid is accepted or rejected and irrespective of the reasons for such decisions.
Prices must be quoted separately for each item in the price bid format against the respective items and all applicable columns.
In September 2023, BHEL invited bids to procure 90 million units (MU) of round-the-clock renewable power per annum on a long-term basis. The procured power will be supplied to the ex-bus periphery at the company units located in Haridwar (54 MU), Bhopal (12 MU), Trichy (12 MU), and Hyderabad (12 MU) on a long-term basis.
